Publisher's light brown cloth, spine lettered in green, front board decoratively stamped in green and white. Very gentle spine lean; backstrip dulled; light wear to edges and joints; trace minor soiling. Previous owner's signature on verso of front endpaper; bookplate. Near fine, housed in a custom clamshell case. Card with author's signature laid in (apparently once tipped in a different volume). Queen's Quorum 20 ("...introduced the first 'criminal' lawyer. Randolph Mason was an important an historic innovation."). Ex-Lawrence M. Solomon, sold in his sale at Swann.
