Publisher's black cloth, spine lettered in gilt, publisher's device stamped in blind at rear; all text block edges trimmed; decorative map endpapers. A bit of minor shelf wear to binding; spine skewed; foot of spine slightly pushed; crease starting along backstrip; trace of light wear at joints; mild rubbing to boards; what appears to be added color at head of front panel; a bit of rippling to cloth along fore-edges of boards; corners tapped. Text block very slightly yellowed from age; foxing along edges and to first and last few leaves; faint, uneven toning to endpapers, with surface of rear pastedown slightly roughened. Exposed panels of dust jacket tanned; some slight chipping at ends of spine panel and flap folds; soft creasing along folds; font and rear panels rubbed, with a bit of foxing at rear panel; small hole toward middle of rear flap fold; a bit of foxing to flaps, with mild rumpling along upper edges. Mild foxing at verso. Very good.
