Publisher's full red cloth, front and spine stamped in black. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Very minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends gently pushed with soft bump to upper joint corner of front board. Normal mild age toning to edges of text block. Light rubbing, toning and soiling to exposed panels of jacket, with light wear to joint and flap folds; a few scratches, soft creases at front panel; flaps clipped. Near fine.

Original illustrated jacket. Top edge trimmed; others untrimmed. Barely perceptible shelf wear at extremities of bindings; spine ends gently pushed; a bit of mild soiling to rear boards. Top edge of text block slightly dust-soiled; normal toning to remaining edges with a few spots of rubbing and soiling. Occasional marginal spot and thumbsoiling scattered throughout text block. Spine panel of jacket toned; mild rubbing with a bit of soiling to exposed panels; slight paper loss at spine and flap fold ends; rupture at rear panel from joint, with small hole and a few closed tears; minor wear at joint and flap folds. Two tape repairs at verso, one large and yellowed, partially showing through at recto. About near fine in a very good jacket. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
