    Louis Joseph Vance. The Fortune Hunter. New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1910. First edition. Octavo. [12], 338 pages. Frontispiece and five additional inserted plates on coated paper by Arthur William Brown. Publisher's full mauve cloth; spine lettered in cream; front stamped in brown with illustrated paper label. Original illustrated jacket. All edges trimmed. Virtually no shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends very slightly pushed; mild bump to one corner. Normal age toning to edges of text block. Short tear at fore-edge margin of one leaf. Minor rubbing and soiling to exposed panels of jacket; a handful of tiny chips at spine and flap fold ends, top edge of front and rear panels; a bit of rumpling to top edge with some soft creasing and two or three short tears; a touch of wear to joint and flap folds. Very nearly fine.

Frontispiece and three additional inserted plates on coated paper by Arthur I. Keller. Publisher's full teal cloth; front and spine lettered in cream; front with stamped decorative border in darker teal. Original dust jacket printed in gilt, black and red on teal paper. All edges trimmed. Mild shelf wear at extremities of binding; slight reddish stain along joints. Top edge of text block dust-soiled; normal age toning with some small abrasions to remaining edges. Small stain and previous owner signature at front free endpaper; one tiny tear at fore-edge margin of one leaf. Exposed panels of jacket slightly sunned, particularly at spine panel and flap folds; some light fraying at top edge of front panel; very small chips out of spine and flap fold ends; mild wear at joint and flap folds.
