    Louis Joseph Vance. The Brass Bowl. Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1907. First edition. Octavo. [12], 379, [1] pages. Frontispiece and six additional inserted plates on coated paper by Orson Lowell. Publisher's full green cloth; spine lettered in gilt outlined in black; front with illustrated paper label. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding, principally at corners and spine ends; soft bumping to corners; a few small areas of bubbling to cloth at rear board, with one small spot of white soiling. Light soiling to top edge of text block; normal age toning to remaining edges. Mild rubbing and soiling to exposed panels of jacket; a fair amount of chipping to top and bottom edges, particularly at spine and flap fold ends, with some loss to publisher's name at bottom of spine; slight wear at flap and joint folds; a few soft creases and short closed tears from chipping and edge wear; two small areas of spot staining to front panel. Flaps clipped. Several small tape repairs at verso of jacket. About near fine overall.

Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Barely perceptible shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends gently pushed. Very light age toning to edges of text block with a few small bumps and some very light rubbing. Previous owner signature at front pastedown. Light rubbing and soiling to exposed panels of jacket; a bit of wear along top edge; a few small chips out of top and bottom with short tears at bottom of front flap fold and front joint; top edge of rear panel and at top of rear joint; a bit of soft creasing.
