Publisher's grayish blue cloth, spine lettered and stamped in red; top edge stained red; in original dust jacket. Board edges worn; joints rubbed; corners and spine ends softly bumped; crown starting to fray; series of small indentations to upper corners of rear board. Previous owner signature. Dust jacket edges worn with chipping at spine ends and edges of folds, short tear extending from chip to crown into the rear joint fold; folds worn with some minor color loss; spine panel faintly dulled; few minor scuffs to front panel; rear panel very lightly soiled. A very good copy of a cheaply produced book. Winner of the first Edgar Award for best first novel. Part of the Murray Hill Mystery series. The author is the brother of Howard Fast. From the KoKo Collection.
