    Description

John Dickson Carr. The Blind Barber. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1934. First edition. Octavo. [viii], 279 pages. Publisher's full black cloth, front board and spine stamped in red. Original publisher's dust jacket, with the promotional "seal" sticker on the front jacket panel and spine. Cloth binding lovely but for a slight blemish to top edge of rear board and a soft crease in the spine, endleaves very slightly toned and foxed, publisher's tissue "seal" still present but opened. Text lightly toned, and very occasionally thumbsoiled. The price-clipped jacket is chipped and torn at the edges and fore-edge folds, with loss, rear panel is soiled and with Office File Copy ink stamp. A good copy.
