    Description

John Dickson Carr. Poison in Jest. New York: Harper and Brothers Publishers, 1932. First edition. Octavo. [viii], [1]-275, [6, blank] pages. Publisher's full black cloth, front board and spine stamped in green. In the rare original publisher's dust jacket. Although this is a Harper Sealed Mystery, the tissue-paper seal is missing, except for some residue on the rear free endpaper. Cloth spine somewhat rubbed and lightly soiled. Boards lightly rubbed and soiled. Jacket spine toned and thumbsoiled. Jacket spine and panels edgeworn with some light chipping and a few short tears. Rear jacket panel thumbsoiled. Still, a very good copy.
