Boards rubbed and soiled. Endleaves toned. Previous owner's signature on front free endpaper. Text toned and foxed. Good. [Together with:] James MacLaren Cobban. The Cure of Souls. London: Chatto and Windus, 1879. First edition. Octavo. 310 pages. Publisher's full lavender cloth, boards and spine stamped in black, spine lettered in gilt. Spine and board-edges sunned. Binding with some rubbing and edgewear, and some occasional soiling. Hinges barely starting. Text with some occasional foxing. Several pages unopened. Very good. [And:] James MacLaren Cobban. The Avenger of Blood. London: Cassell & Company, 1895. First edition. Octavo. 224 pages. Publisher's full embossed blue cloth, front board and spine stamped in gilt. Some rubbing, soiling to binding. Ink stains to front endleaves. First few leaves with burn (?) marks. Text a bit toned. Good.
