    James M'Govan. Brought to Bay. Edinburgh: 1878. First edition. Inscribed. A Queen's Quorum title. Inscribed "with the Author's / affectionate regards / Edinburgh 1878." Octavo. [8], 413, [1, blank], [4, publisher's notice and ads] pages. Publisher's dark blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt, front ruled in black and gilt, rear ruled in blind; all text block edges trimmed and gilt; brown coated endpapers. Cloth rather worn, particularly at spine ends and along joints and board edges; boards rubbed, with some dark soiling at front; corners tapped, with boards just peeking through cloth. Hinges cracked, with evidence of repairs (including small area of renewal at foot of each joint). Majority of edge gilding rubbed away; text block softly dulled; marginal staining and soiling scattered throughout interior. Good. With Adrian Goldstone bookplate at front pastedown. Queen's Quorum 9.
