Publisher's black cloth, second state with blank front board, spine lettered in gilt with publisher's device in gilt at foot; all edges trimmed; endpapers printed with green and white fiber pattern. In original dust jacket, designed by Richard Chopping. Spine just barely leaning. Dust jacket edges with just a touch of wear; small bruise to the front flap fold; price-clipped. Near fine. Gilbert A13a (1.2).

In original second-issue dust jacket with the publisher's sticker of 16s over the price on the front flap. Spine just barely leaning; front board barely splayed. Dust jacket with a hint of discoloration around the sticker. Near fine. Gilbert A14a (1.3).
