    Description

Ian Fleming. Moonraker. London: Jonathan Cape, [1955]. First edition, second state with "shoot" correctly spelled on page ten, line thirty-one, with matching type. Octavo (189 x 125 mm). 256 pages. Publisher's black cloth, spine and front board lettered in silver, spine with publisher's device in silver at foot (Gilbert's B variant, no priority); all edges trimmed; plain white endpapers. In original dust jacket. Very slightly skewed; boards just slightly bowed; backstrip a bit sunned; occasional light rubbing. Light offsetting to endpapers. Dust jacket spine panel faintly toned, but the flame pattern is still quite distinct; lightly thumbsoiled; edges light worn with some mild chipping. Still, a near fine copy. Gilbert A3a (1.3).
