London: George Newnes, Limited, 1893. First edition. Octavo. 274, 32 (publisher's catalog) pages. Publisher's pictorial brown cloth stamped in red, white, black, and blue. Corners just bumped, minor edgewear, head and foot of spine pushed. Geometric, light green printed endpapers, endpapers toned, small ink stamp on front free endpaper recto. Internally generally clean; top and tail edge untrimmed, top edge darkened, minor edgewear, some pages creased at corners, a few overextended gutters. Publisher's catalog bound at rear unopened. Very good.

Illustrated with plates and text illustrations, including frontispiece by Geo. Hutchinson. Publisher's pictorial clay cloth, stamped in gilt, black, grey and white. Corners just bumped, minor edgewear, head and foot of spine pushed. Endpapers toned, bookseller's ticket to front pastedown. Internally generally clean, minor foxing, chiefly contained to margins and edges, a few gutters overextended. Very good.

    [And]: Lady Turpin. London: Ward, Lock & Co. Limited, 1897. First edition thus. Octavo. 255 pages. Illustrated with plates and text illustrations by Stanley L. Wood, including frontispiece with tissue guard. Publisher's illustrated boards backed in teal cloth with gilt-lettered spine. Corners heavily bumped and rubbed, moderate edgewear, head and foot of spine pushed, heavily rubbed. Bookplate to front pastedown, endpapers slightly toned, minor soiling on endpapers. Internally generally clean, minor intermittent soiling, minor edgewear. Originally published as part of Beeton's Christmas Annual, 1895. Good.
