Publisher's full brick cloth, overlaid with black cloth to about 0.875" down from top; front and spine stamped in silver. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed; top edge stained black. Minimal wear and dust-soiling at extremities of binding; bottom end of spine gently pushed. Normal age toning to edges and interior margins of text block. Sunning to spine panel of jacket; general light wear along edges and creases; minimal paper loss at spine and flap fold ends; some rubbing and soft creasing to exposed panels; flaps clipped. Light, uneven toning at verso. A beautiful copy in very nearly fine condition. The basis for several film and theatrical adaptations. A Haycraft Queen Cornerstone.
