    More Information: Geoffrey Homes. The Doctor Died at Dusk. New York: William Morrow & Co., 1936. First edition. Octavo (7.4375 x 5.125 inches; 190 x 130 mm.). [vi], 303, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's smooth black cloth, spine and front board lettered and ruled in green; top edge of the text block stained green, others untrimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $2.00. Spine very slightly leaning; two vertical seems visible on the rear board; corners barely bent; extremities very lightly rubbed. Endpapers faintly discolored from binding glue in the hinges. Dust jacket folds and edges lightly worn, mostly at the spine ends with a chip at the upper edge of the front flap fold (three tape reinforcements on the verso); one quarter-inch closed tear in the bottom margin of the rear panel; very light marginal wrinkling; rear panel lightly rubbed. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket. [Together with:] Another copy, first edition, advance issue. Publisher's perfect binding in the original wrappers (an example of the dust jacket trimmed slightly shorter). Spine leaning and somewhat rolled, with soft vertical creasing; some trivial edgewear. Very good. A Robin Bishop mystery. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
