    More Information: Geoffrey Homes. No Hands on the Clock. New York: William Morrow & Co., 1939. First edition. Octavo (7.4375 x 5.125 inches; 189 x 130 mm.). [viii], 261, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's smooth black cloth, spine lettered in green, spine and front board stamped in green; top edge of the text block stained green, others untrimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $2.00. Spine barely leaning; spine ends softly pushed; two small divots to the top edge of the front board; corners very slightly bent; extremities a trifle rubbed. Text block sagging very slightly; two stray, faint marks to the title-page. Dust jacket edges very lightly worn with a few short closed tears and a couple soft diagonal creases; bottom of the spine panel rubbed with a small blemish obscuring part of the publisher's logo; small splash to the rear panel; rear panel lightly rubbed. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket. Basis for the 1941 film of the same name starring Chester Morris, Jean Parker and Rose Hobart. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
