Publisher's blue stapled wrappers, front lettered in black with portrait of Chesterton. Housed in custom black cloth clamshell with paper spine label. Very light wear along center fold of wrappers; one tiny area of dark soiling each at front and rear wrappers; three small holes at rear wrapper. Essentially fine. With bookplate and ownership signature of Vincent Starrett at inside of rear wrapper. First paragraph of text crossed out (does not appear in other copies) and a note in Starrett's hand identifying this as a "Unique pre-publication copy" at inside of front wrapper. A pristine, possibly singular copy of an already rare publication.
