Publisher's full black cloth, spine lettered and ruled in gilt. Original illustrated dust jacket. Bottom edge untrimmed; all others trimmed. Spine slightly skewed; very mild shelf wear at extremities of binding; top edge a bit dusty; little bit of soiling along front joint; very slight bumping to corners. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; top edge faintly dust-soiled. Fraying along edges of jacket, resulting in a bit of paper loss at spine and flap fold ends; short tear with some soft creasing at bottom of front panel; short split at head of rear flap fold; mild toning, rubbing, thumbsoiling to exposed panels. Uneven toning to verso of jacket. Near fine. With red leather book label of Florence and Edward Kaye affixed to front pastedown.
