Publisher's brown cloth backstrip (with "tiger" pattern in black) over light gray cloth boards. Front board decoratively stamped in black and gilt, spine stamped in gilt. Spine toned, binding worn and soiled, hinges repaired, endleaves a bit wrinkled, text toned with minor occasional soiling, several gutters overopened. Good. Bookplate of Dr. J. West Roosevelt on the front pastedown, with his ownership signature on the title-page (Roosevelt was the first cousin of President Theodore Roosevelt). A Queen's Quorum title.
