London: John Long, [1908]. First edition. Six volumes. Octavo. Various paginations. Five volumes in publisher's red cloth, one in brown, spines lettered in gilt, fronts stamped in black and a range of pale colors (yellow, white, light green, light orange, etc.); bottom edges of text blocks untrimmed. Spine ends pushed or bumped, some just starting to fray or split; general rubbing and light soiling to backstrips, with occasional small gouge, backstrip of Green Mummy a bit discolored; boards rubbed, with a moderate amount of spot-soiling and discoloration; some slight edge wear; majority of corners bumped, some with boards peeking through cloth. Text blocks softly dulled with age, particularly along edges; occasional foxing or spot-soiling to edges; speckles of foxing to a couple of sets of endpapers; Lonely Church with previous owner inscription at front free endpaper; most text block interiors with occasional, mostly marginal foxing scattered throughout. Very good.
