Octavo. 285 pp. Publisher's maroon cloth, front board stamped in blind; spine stamped in gilt; publisher's monogram stamped in blind to back board; with custom dust jacket. Endpapers toned; author's inscription to front free endpaper recto. Internally generally clean; text block toned in margins; top-edge slightly darkened. Hand-painted custom dust jacket, possibly done by author; dust jacket with moderate edgewear; chipping in head of spine; toned overall; reinforced on verso with clear tape. Very good book with good dust jacket.

    Queens Quorum 83. Author was a noted criminologist and a great-niece of poet, Lord Alfred Tennyson.
