Publisher's full light blue cloth, front and spine lettered in black. Original illustrated dust jacket. Top edge trimmed; others untrimmed. Housed in custom green cloth chemise in book-backed slipcase, dark green morocco over green cloth, spine decorated in red and gilt with five raised bands. Slight darkening along bottom edge of binding; slight shelf wear at extremities; spine end gently pushed; a few spots of light soiling; soft bumping to corners. Top edge of text block slightly dust-soiled; regular age toning to remaining edges. Occasional marginal staining, thumbsoilig and foxing scattered throughout interior of text block. Mild uneven toning and soft creasing to exposed panels of jacket; minor rubbing with light wear at joint and flap folds; slight chipping at spine and flap fold ends; a bit of wear at top edge, with some creasing to corners of flaps; one short tear at rear panel, about 1" long. Light toning to verso. Near fine. Red leather book label of Florence and Edward Kaye affixed to front pastedown. Second appearance in book form of Bramah's blind detective.
