Publisher's light green cloth, spine stamped in gilt; all edges of the text block trimmed; in the original illustrated dust jacket. Mild wear at edges and joints, including a couple of tiny nicks at bottom edge of rear board; top edge a bit soiled; spine ends gently pushed. Top edge of text block darkened with normal age toning to remaining edges; brown spotting, most pronounced at fore-edge, extending into outer margins of pages. Scattered faint foxing to first and last few leaves. Chipping to spine and flap fold ends of jacket; front flap and rear joint folds with short split each toward middle; a few short tears each extending from top and bottom edges of front panel; light rubbing and soiling to exposed panels of jacket. Some faint spotting at verso of jacket with one small repair at foot of front flap fold. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket. A scarce book in jacket. Featuring Max Carrados, Bramah's blind sleuth. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
