Frontispieces with tissue guards, additional illustrated plate inserted in Volumes II and IV, six folding plates of facsimile manuscript leaves inserted throughout Volume I, title-page vignettes (mounted in first volume). Laid paper, partially unopened. Contemporary half-polished calf over marbled paper-covered boards; spine in six compartments with five raised bands tooled in gilt, elaborate floral motif in gilt, morocco labels lettered in gilt; top edge gilt, others trimmed; marbled endpapers. Crowns lightly worn, a spine label on Volume VI worn with a sizeable hole to the interior; board edges rubbed, corners softly bumped and worn, with some boards exposed; occasional minor scuff to leather. A beautiful set in near fine condition. From the KoKo Collection.
