    Description

Earl Derr Biggers. The Chinese Parrot. Indianapolis: [1926]. First edition.

    More Information:

Earl Derr Biggers. The Chinese Parrot. Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, [1926]. First edition. Octavo. [iv], 316 pages. Publisher's green cloth, front board and spine lettered in red, in original dust jacket. Board edges only slightly rubbed. Page edges very lightly soiled with some spotting to the top edge; pages very faintly browning at margins. Dust jacket appears to have been coated (perhaps by an adhesive for a lining since removed); spine panel faded; folds and edges worn with light chipping, a few small interior holes and splits starting; faint soiling (or light discoloration from bleed-through) throughout. Near fine in a presentable, but good-only, dust jacket. The second Charlie Chan mystery. Adapted for the screen in 1927 and again in 1934 with the title Charlie Chan's Courage. From the KoKo Collection.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
