    Dorothy L. Sayers and M. St. Clare Byrne. Busman's Honeymoon. A Detective Comedy in Three Acts. London: Victor Gollancz Ltd, 1937. First edition, cloth issue. Twelvemo. 144 pages. Publisher's black cloth, red paper spine label; all text block edges trimmed; original mottled gray paper dust jacket with red wraparound promotional band. Soft crease starting along vertical length of spine; light wear at foot of spine; a few speckles of pale soiling at front; mild wear along bottom edges. Text block softly dulled; top edge foxed and speckle-soiled; a bit of foxing at endpapers. Jacket spine panel sunned, with a trace of wear at ends; occasional, very faint evidence of rubbing at front and rear panels; spine section of band dulled and creased, with split starting from top and bottom edges. Very good. Basis for the novel of the same name.

Publisher's perfect binding, mottled gray paper wrappers, front and spine lettered in black; all text block edges trimmed; red wraparound promotional band. Backstrip sunned with a bit of soft creasing, a short tear toward foot, and mild wear at ends and along joints; a bit of tanning and soft creasing extending into margins of wrappers; just starting to pull away from text block at front, though still sound. Text block slightly dulled; top edge darkened with some speckle-soiling; bottom edge rubbed; minor rumpling to endleaves from handling; previous owner signature to recto of front flyleaf. Band detached along front panel fold, with chips out of either end of spine portion; flaps creased. Near fine with a good wraparound band. Basis for the novel of the same name.
