Publisher's blue-gray cloth decoratively stamped and titled in black and blue, including a falcon vignette on the front cover and the Borzoi device on the back cover. Housed in a custom black cloth slipcase. Minor edge wear and soiling to the cloth. Tiny dark stain to the bottom of the front cover. Previous owner's ink notations on the front pastedown and a front blank. Minor scattered foxing and toning to the textblock. Staining to the bottom margin of pages 32-33. Overall, a very good copy. The basis of the legendary 1941 John Huston film starring Humphrey Bogart. Layman A.3.1.a.
