Publisher's full black cloth, spine lettered in red. Original dust jacket printed in red and black on yellow paper. All edges trimmed. Virtually no shelf wear to binding; tiny nick to surface of cloth at front board. Scattered specks of foxing along edges of text block. Red ribbon laid in as placeholder. Jacket gently sunned at front and spine; very small amount of wear at joint folds; some rubbing; barely perceptible edge wear to bottom edge and at tops of flap folds. Very nearly fine. Curated by Hammett, this anthology features stories from the likes of William Faulkner, H. P. Lovecraft, and Frank Belknap Long. Layman 5.2.a. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
