Charles Dickens. The Mystery of Edwin Drood. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1870. First U. S. serial edition. Octavo. 2, [5]-104, 4 [ads], 4 [ads] pages. Publisher's perfect binding, original light brown wrappers; all text block edges trimmed. Spine a bit rolled; backstrip nicked; front wrapper split along joint to about two-thirds of the way down; staining to front wrapper; trace of nicking along fore-edge. Text block faintly dulled; staining at front bleeding through first third of text block. Very good.
