Publisher's full red cloth, front and spine stamped in black. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; bumping to bottom edge of front board; a bit of soiling to top edge; cloth at rear fore-edge a bit rippled; a handful of small spots of soiling. Normal age toning to edge and interior of text block. Front hinge starting to split, still sound but making text block a bit loose in binding; bookseller's ticket at rear pastedown. Jacket slightly rubbed; some chipping at spine and flap fold ends; general mild wear and scattered soft creasing to exposed panels; front flap clipped. Very good. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
