    C. L. Pirkis. A Dateless Bargain. London: 1887. First edition.
    C. L. Pirkis. A Dateless Bargain. London: Hurst and Blackett, 1887. First edition. Three volumes. Octavo. [6], 305, [1]; [4], 298; [4], 268, [2], 8 [publisher's ads], [16, publisher's ads] pages. Publisher's dark green cloth, spine lettered in gilt, spine and front stamped in black; all text block edges trimmed. Spines skewed; spine ends pushed and worn; boards rubbed, with some light soiling; varying amounts of wear and bumping at edges and corners. Text blocks dulled with age; top edges dust-soiled; joints cracked but still sound; labels removed at front pastedowns, resulting in loss to surface of paper, discoloration, and residue; light foxing, thumbsoiling, and spot-staining scattered throughout interior, along with some evidence of dog-earing. Very good.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
