S. reprint edition, inscribed by the author on the title-page: Best wishes from / Arthur Conan Doyle / To Claussen [sic] Otto / July/23." Octavo. (Presumed) publisher's dark red cloth; with a dust jacket (appears original), all matted and framed together with a letter of provenance and three recently printed copies of photographs of the Otto family, one featuring Doyle, in a custom shadowbox with an overall size of 30 x 26.125 x 4 inches. Bottom corner of front board and early leaves bumped. Dust jacket misfolded; backstrip and folds lightly soiled; some minor edgewear with wrinkling at the bottom of the rear flap fold. Not inspected outside of frame. Letter of provenance states Doyle would camp with the Otto family while exploring the Rocky Mountains. From the collection of Bob Terry.
