    More Information: Arthur Conan Doyle and William Gillette. Sherlock Holmes. Baltimore: 1930. Original lithographic theater poster by Carey & Sons, New York, during Gillette's Farewell Tour, which ran until 1932. Performance information stamped in red ink: Ford's Theatre, Baltimore, the week of January 13. Approximately 13.5 x 21 inches (sight), framed. Appears nearly fine with just faint ink smudge on the stamped red ink and light marginal toning along the bottom. Not examined out of frame. The play was co-written (with Doyle) by and starred Gillette. Sold together with: [Theatre Program] Sherlock Holmes Farewell Appearances of William Gillette, 1929-1930. Sixteen pages, original wrappers. Two copies, one inscribed by Gillette. [And:] William Gillette in Sherlock Holmes. New York: Russell: 1900. Sixteen pages, original oversized wrappers, saddle-stitched threated binding. Three copies and a later facsimile (or just facsimile wrappers), as well as the 1902 version. [And:] [Theatre Program]. Sherlock Holmes. Hartford: Parson's Theatre, 1930. Twelve pages, original wrappers. [And:] Several photographic imagines, including a cabinet card, four postcards (one smaller),  one late-in-life photograph (dated 1935 on verso) and eight Ogden's Cigarettes tobacco cards (some duplicate images). A couple programs quite worn, but generally ephemeral pieces very good. From the collection of Bob Terry.
