First edition, publisher's code C-S (March 1918) on the copyright page. Octavo (7.25 x 4.875 inches; 184 x 123 mm.). [2, blank], [viii], 325, [1] pages; frontispiece. Publisher's black cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, spine stamped in gilt and front board decoratively stamped in blind; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $1.40 on the spine panel. Spine ends and corners very softly pushed; bottom edge of the front board slightly pinched at the base of the blind stamp; bottom edge of both boards rubbed. Very faint offsetting to the endpapers. Dust jacket spine panel tanned; edges very lightly worn with small chips or tears to the fold edges, some soft marginal creasing. About near fine.

Publisher's black cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, front board decoratively stamped in blind; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $1.60 on the spine panel. Spine ends softly pushed; bottom corners tapped; boards very lightly soiled. Text block sagging just a hair. Dust jacket edges worn; two small chips to the crown, not affecting any printed text; spine panel faintly dulled with some minors scuffs. Very good.

[viii], 379, [1] pages; frontispiece. Publisher's black cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, front board decoratively stamped in blind; all edges of the text block trimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket. Spine ends a little faded; bottom corners softly bumped, tiny tear to the cloth on the upper corner of the front board; tiny ding to the fore edge of the front board. Old, small rubber stamp, partially applied, to the front free endpaper. Dust jacket edges worn and folds worn, with minor chipping and creasing; spine panel faintly dulled with some spotty discoloration; penciled priced one the front flap and spine panel; price-clipped.
