Octavo. [10], 370 pages. Publisher's full black cloth; spine lettered in gilt. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Spine ends gently pushed; smapp bump to bottom front corner. Mild toning to rear panel of dust jacket; slight wear to edges and folds with a handful of tiny chips from top; normal toning at verso. Faint dust-soiling to top edge of text block. Two or three instances of thumb soiling to first few leaves. Near fine. Inscribed to Mexican writer, filmmaker and Queen's Quorum author Antonio Helú, mentioning Boucher's translation of his mystery stories. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
