[8], 311, [1] pages. In-text illustrations, plans and a genealogical table. Publisher's full black cloth; front stamped in blind with Inner Sanctum Mystery logo; spine lettered in gilt. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed; top edge stained red. Spine slightly skewed; normal light shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends a touch pushed. Mild wear to edges, joint and flap folds of jacket, with a few small chips. Faint tidemarks at verso of front flap fold. Normal light age toning of jacket flaps, text block edges and pages. Near fine book in a very good dust jacket. An excellent copy of Boucher's first book, inscribed to Mexican writer and filmmaker Antonio Helú, whose work Boucher translated into English and whose book La Obligacón de Arsenar is a Queen's Quorum title. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
