Publisher's full orange cloth; front stamped in black with Inner Sanctum Mystery logo; spine lettered in black. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed. Spine ends slightly pushed. Very minor edge wear to dust jacket. Barely perceptible darkening, dust-soiling to top edge of text block. A fine book in a very nearly fine dust jacket.

    [Together with:] The Case of the Solid Key. New York: Simon and Schuster, 1941. First edition. Octavo. [10], 302 pages. Publisher's full red cloth; front stamped in gilt with Inner Sanctum Mystery logo; spine lettered and ruled in gilt. Original illustrated dust jacket. All edges trimmed; top edge stained blue. Small lump beneath cloth on front board, likely from binding process. Edges of jacket reinforced with tape at verso, now yellowed and visible at recto as an inoffensive, slightly darkened strip; flaps clipped; rear panel mildly toned with short tear at lower end of joint fold. A fine book in a near fine dust jacket. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
