Wrappers generally toned and slightly soiled; a couple of inked signatures to front wrappers; some splashes and faint tidemarks, areas of foxing; mild wear at edges and joints; a few backstrips softly creased; one or two wrappers beginning to split from bottom. Varied amount of age toning to edges of text blocks, scattered spot soiling and foxing. Interiors generally clean and bright. Near fine. A broad selection of nineteenth-century publications from one of the earliest writers in the detective fiction drama. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
