Publisher's full red-orange cloth, front and spine lettered in black. All edges trimmed. Mild shelf and joint wear to binding; spine ends softened, with cloth thinning there and at corners; fairly minor rubbing and soiling to cloth; couple of drips to rear board. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; moderate amount of foxing and rubbing to edges. A bit of foxing and discoloration to endpapers; evidence of dog-earing scattered throughout; occasional light, marginal soiling scattered throughout text block. About near fine. The first novel to feature Miss Marple, Christie's amateur spinster-detective.
