Agatha Christie. Ten Little Niggers. London: The Crime Club by Collins, 1939. First edition. Octavo (7.25 x 4.875 inches; 183 x 123 mm.). [2], 252, [2, publisher's ads] pages. Publisher's full orange cloth, spine lettered in black; all edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Slight skew to spine; minimal shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends pushed; corners and edges just a bit bumped; light soiling along top and bottom edge. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; some small specks of foxing scattered primarily at fore-edge; top edge a touch dust-soiled. Mild, faint foxing scattered throughout interior. Jacket chipped and fraying along top and bottom edges, particularly at spine and flap fold ends, with some soft creasing and a handful of short tears; top of "Ten" at head of spine panel affected; wear along folds; general light rubbing, soiling to exposed panels; rumpling and creasing to edge of front flap. Verso lightly foxed and rubbed. Near fine in an about near fine jacket. One of Christie's best-known works and one of the best-selling books of all time, more widely known under its American title, And Then There Were None. Adapted several times for stage, screen, and radio.
