Publisher's full maroon cloth, spine lettered in gilt with gilt publisher's device. Original illustrated jacket. All edges trimmed. Mild shelf wear at extremities of binding; mild discoloration to backstrip; spine ends gently pushed; lettering darkened; spots of discoloration/staining to front board; top edge a bit dusty. Normal light age toning to edges and interior of text block; fairly extensive foxing to edges; top edge slightly darkened. Spots of marginal foxing scattered occasionally throughout. Fairly mild rubbing and soiling to exposed panels of jackets; short tears at top and bottom of rear joints and top of front joint resulting in some rumpling, soft creasing; one closed tear at top of front flap fold; small chip at head of rear flap fold. Single small tape repair at verso; one spot of soiling. About very good.

Publisher's full periwinkle cloth, spine lettered in gilt with gilt publisher's device. Original illustrated jacket. All edges trimmed. Minimal shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends just starting to fray; lettering darkened; a handful of spots of discoloration, most pronounced along backstrip. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; a few tiny specks of foxing to top edge, which is a bit dust-soiled. Very few spots of foxing scattered throughout interior. A bit of light rubbing and soiling to exposed panels of jacket; some mild edge wear resulting in minor rumpling and a minuscule amount of paper loss at spine and flap fold ends. Some faint spots of foxing at verso. Near fine.
