Publisher's red-orange cloth, spine and front lettered in black; fore-edge untrimmed, top edge stained red; Red Badge endpapers; original illustrated dust jacket. Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; trace of soiling to cloth. Endpapers slightly tanned; evidence of bookseller's ticket removed from front pastedown; a bit of penciling at front free endpaper. Tiny amount of smudging and dust soiling at top edge. Jacket tanned and rubbed, with mild edge wear; nicking at spine and flap fold ends; short tear at head of front panel. Near fine book in a very good jacket.
