[2, blank], [vi], 306, [6, ads] pages, frontispiece. Publisher's red cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt, front board ruled in blind. Spine faintly dulled, scant minor soiling to boards, extremities lightly rubbed. Occasional light foxing to fore-edge of text-block. Front free endpaper excised, over-opened at page [1], note of provenance in holographic pencil to front pastedown. Very good. Copy belonging to Rene de Chochor, former director of the Estate of Arthur Conan Doyle, Christie's 4074, lot 255. De Waal 503.
