Original vivid red cloth, front board stamped in black and gilt, spine and front board lettered in gilt. Spine gently leaning, light staining across front joint and onto half of spine, boards and edges slightly rubbed, corners a bit worn. Text block edges somewhat toned, faint foxing on fore-edge, minor stain on upper corner of frontispiece, over-opened at pages 80 and 81, small tape repair on verso of plate facing page 204. A good copy with a nice overall appearance.
