Octavo. xxviii, 238, [2]; viii, [249]-513, [1]; viii, [2], 515-764, [2] pages. Sixty-four plates throughout, after original illustrations by Sidney Paget and others. Publisher's black cloth backing over brown decorative paper-covered boards with embossed black paper portrait of Holmes on front, spines lettered in gilt; all text block edges trimmed and sprinkled brown; glassine dust jackets; housed together in brown paper-covered slipcase. Trace of shelf wear to bindings, with occasional small rub marks along joints or tap to corner. Glassine jackets slightly yellowed from age, particularly at spines, with one slightly chipped at extremities with about a two-inch tear at front. Mild wear to slipcase, most pronounced around opening, with a nick out of one corner. Fine books in near fine housing.

Octavo. xxvi, [765]-1060, [2]; xvi, [1061]-1222, [2] pages; xvi, [1223]-1382, [8] pages. Fifty-six plates throughout, after original illustrations by Sidney Paget and others. Publisher's black cloth backing over brown decorative paper-covered boards with embossed black paper portrait of Holmes on front, spines lettered in gilt; all text block edges trimmed and sprinkled brown; housed together in brown paper-covered slipcase. Minimal wear at extremities of binding (particularly at front portraits) and slipcase. Essentially fine.

Octavo. xxii, [1383]-1545, [1]; xiii, [1], [1547]-1777, [1] pages. Forty plates throughout, after original illustrations by Frederic Dorr Steele and others. Publisher's black cloth backing over brown decorative paper-covered boards with embossed black paper portrait of Holmes on front, spines lettered in gilt; all text block edges trimmed and sprinkled brown; housed together in brown paper-covered slipcase. Just a trace of minor wear at extremities of bindings, with a bit of rubbing at front portraits. Slipcase scuffed along bottom with some mild wear along edges. Fine books in a near fine slipcase.
