Publisher's full green cloth; spine lettered in gilt with gilt leaf decorations; front lettered in blind with blind-ruled border. Original illustrated dust jacket. Top and fore-edge of text block trimmed; bottom untrimmed. Spine slightly skewed; virtually no shelf wear to binding; spine ends slightly pushed; very faint discoloration along top edge; bottom corners ever so slightly bumped. Barely perceptible dust soiling to top edge of text block. Uneven toning to endpapers, carrying through first and last couple of leaves of text block. Mild rubbing and soiling to exposed panels of jacket; a touch of wear along joint and flap folds; a bit of light edge wear along top; minimal paper loss at top of flap folds. Verso unevenly toned and faintly rubbed. A clean, bright book, very nearly fine. Milne's only mystery novel. A Haycraft Queen Cornerstone.
