Publisher's original illustrated boards; text block edges trimmed; advertisement endpapers. Backstrip worn and creased, with a bit of chipping at ends and bottom one inch of backstrip replaced; joints cracked but still sound; boards rubbed with a little bit of soiling; wear along board edges, with bits of board exposed; corners bumped. Text block a tiny bit rippled; edges slightly dulled with age; a few gatherings roughly opened along fore-edge; endpapers and first and final few leaves of text block very lightly foxed. Very good. Housed in custom red cloth chemise red cloth slipcase; book label of Florence and Edward Kaye inside top flap of chemise.
