First edition. Octavo (7.625 x 5.625 inches; 193 x 142 mm.). 39, [1, blank] pages. Publisher's brown paper-covered boards, printed paper spine label; top edge trimmed, others untrimmed. Binding lightly rubbed; spine label softly creased with tiny scuff mark at "U" in "Unique." Top edge of text block slightly darkened; untrimmed bottom and fore-edges slightly roughened with a trace of soiling; pastedowns softly rippled at edges, likely occurred during binding process. Near fine. Housed in custom brown cloth chemise in book-backed brown cloth slipcase. Queen's Quorum 66 ("universally conceded to be the best pastiche of Holmes extant... [and] also one of the rarest pieces of Sherlockiana").
