[Rex Stout]. Too Many Cooks. New York: 1938. First edition, a collection Nero Wolfe recipes.

    More Information:

Rex Stout. Too Many Cooks. New York: The American Magazine, March 1938. First edition of a promotional collection of recipes. Octavo. Thirty-six loose leaves, printed recto only, consisting of a menu, an important note and thirty-four recipes, with original paper band. Publisher's book-shaped, red cloth box, cover-leaf tipped in; gold paper-covered tray; original dust jacket, rear flap glue to rear board under tray (as issued). Touch of soiling and light wear to the exterior of the tray. Leaves faintly toned, paper band broken. Dust jacket edges lightly worn with a sizable (1.5 x .5 inches) chip to the lower edge of the rear panel, not affecting any text; lightly soiled with some minor rubbing at the front joint. About near fine, housed in a custom clamshell case. A nice copy of an ephemeral and uncommon Nero Wolfe item. From the KoKo Collection.
