Octavo (7.375 x 5 inches; 188 x 127 mm.). [iv], 265 x [3, blank] pages. Publisher's two-piece cloth binding, in orange (upper portion) and blue (lower), orange portion lettered in blue on the spine and stamped in blue on the front board; top and fore edges of the text block trimmed, bottom edge rough trimmed; plain endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $2.00. Backstrip very lightly soiled in the orange portion (apparently smudges from the lettering); crown very lightly dust-soiled; corners very softly tapped. Terminal blank of the text block with some speckled soiling. Dust jacket edges very lightly worn, particularly to the spine ends and fold edges; very light rubbing to the rear panel. Nearly fine. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
